Physical fitness is closely related to health condition and physical activity level. To better understand the physical condition of our citizens and identify high risks groups for non-communicable diseases, it was announced in the Policy Agenda 2018 that the Territory wide Physical Fitness Survey for the Community would be conducted through collaboration with relevant bureaux and departments (such as the Education Bureau, the Health Bureau and the Department of Health), with the aim of developing a healthy lifestyle, thereby preventing and intervening diseases at an early stage. The data collection phase of the survey was conducted from 2021 to 2022. The results of the survey would facilitate the formulation of long-term targets and measures to promote sports in the community.
Details of the survey results can be accessed via the Leisure and Cultural Services Department’s website.
